Made is quite small and not very interesting in itself apart from the great restaurant at De Korenbeurs hotel but there are lots of nice cycle paths in the area and one is near the Biesbosch which is very interesting, again good cycling and plenty of birdlife to see there as well as the Museum and guided tours on the water with knowledgeable guides.

Unfortunately we could not eat in the hotel restaurant because of Covid/staff shortages, but there are various other restaurants within walking distance so that was not a problem. Breakfast had to be ordered the night before and was served at the table. Very good fried eggs and bacon! But also lots of other bread, ham, fruit etc. as well as great coffee.

It's a huge building for a small village, built in an unattractive way. Rooms are small but not uncomfortable and clean. Reception was kind, although not super efficient. Breakfast was excellent. You have to go and get your breakfast in a room and then walk back to the restaurant.
